This event is coordinated and co-sponsored by the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce.Formerly known as the Senior Snowbird Expo, the ResortQuest Winter Guest Fest is the area*s largest tradeshow aimed at winter guests, who are commonly referred to as “snowbirds.” The 2012 expo will take place from 8:00 a.m. to noon on January 13 at the Emerald Coast Convention Center, located at 1250 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE in Fort Walton Beach.As the proud presenting sponsor of Winter Guest Fest, ResortQuest is offering a discounted early bird rate for area businesses that want to reserve a booth at the tradeshow. The discounted vendor fees range from $60 to $300 depending on the vendor*s preferred booth location and whether the vendor is a non-profit entity or a member of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce. The special early bird rate represents a discount of $25 off the regular vendor fee and must be reserved by Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011.“Winter Guest Fest presents a valuable opportunity for our fellow Northwest Florida businesses to gain exposure to this important demographic,” said Ryan Christopher, senior operations manager, ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals. “Our 2011 event brought in more than 2,000 guests. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the other has 2 sets of bunk beds, with 2 chests of drawers in each room. The great room is just that! A queen sofa-bed is quite comfortable, and adds 2 more sleeping spaces. The kitchen features a huge counter/breakfast bar with 5 barstools and is open to the living area. A table for four doubles as a game table. The game chest/coffee table is stocked with games. Plenty of seating for a group. All of this with a large window overlooking the lake. But outside on the deck is the place to be! Enjoy the mornings in the shade, the evenings watching the sunset over the lake. And, you will not believe the quiet peacefulness of nature’s sounds. The birds will sing and talk to you like no other place. The Playhouse is tucked away in a very private area. You’ll never believe you are so close to everything available along Scenic 30A. Eight miles east is Seaside. Enjoy that hustle and bustle and come home to serenity. Six miles west is THE outlet mall. Buy fresh fish at Goatfeathers just down the road, and cook it on the grill. Or, try Stinky’s/Lake Place on the other side of the lake for great food. We’ll provide beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, a rolling ice chest..and a wagon to pull it all in. Just 3 blocks to the beach with a neighborhood beach access. Bring your sunscreen! When you get back, you’ll love showering the sand off in the outside shower. Plenty of hooks for bathing suits, too. And, once you’ve been our guests, we hope you’ll come back…like we did.
